‘Sniffing’ urine to detect prostate cancer could prevent unnecessary biopsies

Scientists report progress toward minimizing unnecessary biopsies: They have identified the molecules likely responsible for the scent of prostate cancer, which could be detected by chemically “sniffing” urine.
