Everyone is always welcome at our various meetings where you have a chance to share your experiences and help support others. Similarly, all are welcome to listen and ask questions at our Awareness Nights. For all meetings, just show up, no need to call ahead. Parking is free and refreshments are served.
Some training is required to volunteer at the hospital clinics, speak to a group, or be on the list for the Support Line. (To find out more, click here.)
From time to time, we have booths at special events, such as the Toronto Boat Show, where we require volunteers to greet people and hand out brochures.
Our only fundraising effort is the annual Do It For Dads Father’s Day Walk/Run, where we get sponsors from family, friends, co-workers, etc. A percentage of what we raise comes back to us to cover our costs including printing, refreshments at meetings, … The rest goes toward prostate cancer research. Some of our members also participate in Movember, which supports Prostate Cancer Canada as well as research into men’s wellness.
